FOSTER

It’s more than a process, it’s a paw-sitive partnership.

We Foster with C.A.R.E.

  • A white dog with a bandana around its neck sitting on a beige couch, with a pink crescent moon overlay.

    Connect

It all begins with connection. We schedule a one-on-one video call to get to know you—your lifestyle, work schedule, experience with dogs, household dynamics, and preferences. This isn’t a test; it’s a conversation. The better we understand your home and heart, the better we can match you with a dog who fits seamlessly into your world.

  • A curly-coated dog sitting on a blue rug inside a room with blue walls, light coming from a window on the right, and a person's hand giving the dog a paw, with a large transparent letter 'A' overlaying the image.

    Assign + Rescue

Here’s what makes us different: we don’t pull dogs and then scramble to find a foster. Once we’ve connected with you and you’re approved, our team visits local shelters to rescue a dog that’s been hand-picked for your home. This intentional approach minimizes stress and sets everyone up for success—starting from the very first tail wag.

    Resources + Support

Fostering should never feel overwhelming. That’s why we supply everything you need: premium food, cozy beds, toys, grooming support, medical care, and consistent access to our team. You’re never alone in this. We handle the logistics—so you can focus on what matters most: love, care, and companionship.

    Explore the bond

Thinking about adopting? Our foster-to-adopt option gives you space to explore that bond. Spend 1–3 weeks seeing how your foster pup fits into daily life. If it feels right, we move forward with adoption—celebration included! If not, you’ve still given that dog a safe, loving start on their journey.

 FAQs

  • Getting started is simple! Just fill out our [foster application], and we’ll schedule a one-on-one video call to learn more about your home, lifestyle, and preferences. Unlike many rescues, we don’t pull dogs from shelters before we’ve found them a match—we rescue after you're approved, so your foster pup is hand-selected for your space. If you’ve been wondering how to foster a dog in Southern California, we make it thoughtful, easy, and full of support.

  • You don’t need a perfect home—just a safe one full of heart. Foster parents must be 21 or older, have stable housing, and be able to provide daily care, structure, and love. Whether you’re a single person in an apartment or a big family in a house with a yard, we’ll work with you to find the right dog for your setup. We tailor each placement to your environment, experience level, and lifestyle.

  • A whole lot! Fostering with Minoli Foundation means we’ve got your back. We provide everything you need: premium dog food, toys, beds, routine and emergency vet care, grooming support, and 24/7 access to our team. Plus, you’ll receive access to our digital resource library full of expert guides, tips, and training help. You give the love—we cover the rest.

  • We love when fosters fall in love! That’s why we offer a foster-to-adopt option. If you’re considering adopting your foster pup, you’ll have 1–3 weeks to see how they fit into your life. If it’s a perfect match, we’ll finalize the adoption with joy (and maybe a few happy tears). If not, you’ve still changed a life by giving that dog a safe, loving start.
